CV

Christian Gorsche was born 1985 in Oberpullendorf, Burgenland. He was awarded a Masters degree in Organic Chemistry from the University of Florida, where he spent two years (2008-2010) in the research group of Prof. Stephen A. Miller working on polyesteracetals from bioregenerative feedstocks. His second Masters degree was received from the TU Vienna for his work on photoinitiated frontal polymerization in the research group of Prof. Liska. This Masters thesis was awarded a prize from the Gesellschaft für Chemiewirtschaft (GfC) in 2011. In 2015 he was awarded the Ressel-Prize from the TU Vienna for his conducted PhD thesis (Presseaussendung). The work focused on concepts for shrinkage stress reduction during photopolymerization and the toughening of the final photopolymers. Christian is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher in the research group of Prof. Robert Liska at the Institute of Applied Synthetic Chemistry of the TU Vienna. His research focuses on photopolymerization and precision macromolecular network design for the application in 3D-printing and dental medicine.
