Our scientific activities are focused on emulating and elucidating biosynthethic pathways of complex triterpenoid natural products through the evaluation of biomimetic synthetic strategies. Ideally a large body of interesting rearranged structures can thus be synthesized quickly and efficiently in a divergent manner from the biogenetic precursor.
